  1. Faculty Check-In (all council members) (~15 minutes)
    1. Council has budget of $10,000, so Les Meyer, Treasurer, has some treasury to work with. 
    1. Dorcas Parson is on Dr. Lee’s Enrollment committee – finding ways to increase enrollment going forward. Big enrollment push (statewide) August 8, many ways to volunteer. 
  2. Fall semester Kick-Off items to discuss (~10 minutes)

  4. Update on Indianapolis Leadership Meeting 7/20/20 (~5 minutes)
    1. Graphic of Course Modalities is on the COVID site
      1. SO is doing their own proctoring for statewide classes coming out in (fall?)
    1. Need more students
      1. More push for involvement in enrollment events.
    1. Groundbreaking on new automotive center (Lafayette Square Mall area)
      1. Opening fall 2021 supposedly
    1. Face coverings required unless alone in your office
  5. Update on IvyOnline Advisory Council 7/23/20 (~10 minutes)
    1. 15 ppl on council, mostly SO ppl
    1. Erica only Indy representative
    1. Mostly introductions
    1. 10-14% student success rate gap between F2F and online
      1. From Matt Pittman
      1. 14% less success in Ivy Online than F2F, looking for ways to lessen the gap.
      1. More data is needed to understand success Ivy online is stating it experienced.
    1. All statewide courses to be transitioned to IvyOnline by Fall 2021 (previous deadline was Fall 2022).  Rationale = IvyOnline have positive student outcomes (no data provided)
    1. IvyOnline committed to yearly individual faculty evaluations
      1. Linda shared a fellow adjunct was evaluated from a person they did not know and was not aware he was being evaluated.
      1. Concern that evals are encouraging keeping students enrolled of making for a quality educational experience.
        1. Lara Asked: If that is going to be the evaluating guidance from their Ivy Online supervisor, at what point do I become concerned as the program chair and person who has to certify the student’s graduation that the instructor is passing people that should not be passed?
    1. Acknowledged that previous initiatives not fully vetted before implementation
    1. 2 primary goals of Council = vetting of initiatives & improved communication
    1. Promised a deeper-dive into financials of IvyOnline
  6. Update on Faculty Loading Taskforce 7/29/20 (~5 minute)
    1. need to gather quantifiable data on actual faculty & chair time spent on tasks
    1. supposed to have more information by December.
  7. Debrief on Faculty Reclassification ORG & Trainings (~10 minutes)
    1. 2 weeks ago went mentor training and last week candidate training. Went well.
    1. Diane felt like it will be easier for candidates to go through the classification process.
    1. As a participant council member thought it went well, connected with a colleague to be a mentor.

  8. “Rest” Survey Update & Discussion (Andrew / Erica) (~20 minutes)
    1. Beginning of Sept, after Labor day as a target
    1. Andrew will work with Tracey on getting it into Qualtrics.
    1. Possible incentive idea:
      1. Council budget
        1. Maybe have a raffle?
